Hello Teacher Friends! Welcome to my website. I am so happy that you are here. You might be wondering why I am doing this blog. Well, let’s just start off by saying I might be a little crazy and I may be a glutton for punishment. But, hey, this isn’t a marathon, right? I heard those can be quite difficult. So, here we are. Have you ever just felt the need to create? I mean, are you one of those people who start off one hobby (and never finish) and then go onto the next? I’ve been there and I’m still there. A decade ago, I enjoyed scrapbooking – I know, I lived a glamorous life! Since then, a few of the hobbies I have picked up include: knitting, arm knitting, watercolour painting, photography, baking cupcakes, and cake decorating with fondant (not my forté) and now resource development and blogging. What kinds of hobbies have you picked up and never finished?
This website has been created so that I have a place to share my passion for teaching, wellness and outdoor education. Have you seen that quote going around on Instagram about being the teacher who you needed when you first started teaching? It’s one of my favourites because I truly believe we need mentors to navigate the world education and we need to know that we have people we can go to for ideas and inspiration or even the friendliest of friendly chats. I would like to be that person for someone and perhaps that person is you. Follow along if you wish to be inspired on outdoor education. Follow along if you need ideas for your elementary classroom. Follow me on Instagram, too! Let’s be friends. Introduce yourself in the comments below.
